Aberdeen’s young midfielder Ethan Ross has joined Dunfermline on loan until the end of the season. Ethan started one first team game against Hibs in October 2019 and has made six appearances off the bench.
He joined Aberdeen as a ten year old worked his way up through the club’s youth system starting in the under 11s.
At the age of 14, Ethan made his debut for the Development side against Ross County, playing alongside Scott McKenna back in 2016. Attending the SFA Performance School prepared him for life as a professional and he went on to subsequently captain their Under-18 side.

At this time last year Ethan travelled with the first team to Dubai for the warm weather training camp before making his professional debut as a late substitute against Stenhousemuir in the Scottish Cup Fourth Round Replay at Ochilview on 29 January 2019.
On 9 March 2019, he made his league debut again coming off the bench in an away match against Celtic. After Ethan was named the 2018/19 Development Player of the Year at the annual AFC Awards Dinner he signed a new two year contract keeping him at Aberdeen until the summer of 2021.
Those who have watched Ethan’s progress at Aberdeen describe him as confident, assured, driven to succeed and most importantly is a very good football player.
Ethan is the younger brother of Seb Ross who is also on the books at Pittodrie. He made 22 appearances last season while on loan at League 1 side Stenhousemuir.
