Preview Ayr United
Tuesday, 3rd Dec 2019Ladbrokes Championship (away) v Ayr United, Tuesday 3rd December 2019, kick off 7.45m at Somerset Park.
Ayr United had their match against Arbroath frozen off on Saturday which probably means they will be fresher for Tuesday night’s rescheduled Championship match against Dunfermline. With the Pars picking up three points from their 5-1 home win over Partick, a win for them would take them into fourth place.
Usually a trip to Somerset Park holds no fears for the Pars have a great record there. They had been undefeated there from 2009 until the first league match of the season between the two last season when Ayr won convincingly 4-1 with former Pars Lawrence Shankland and Michael Moffat both scoring in the match.
The Pars record versus the Honest Men shows just three defeats in the last 25 meetings but those three Ayr wins have been in the six games since March 2017.

This was a match separated only by a converted penalty. When Ryan Williamson cut back was handled by Michael Rose, referee David Munro awarded a 71st minute spot kick. Louis LONGRIDGE stepped up and scored netting on the right side with the keeper going the other way. 0-1
