Although disappointed with the defeat Greg Kiltie took plenty positives from the Inverness Caley Thistle match. It was the first time that he had started alongside Kevin Nisbet and he feels that together they can form a partnership to make an impact in the Championship:-

“It was good playing him through and we got a lot of chances from him. He is really good at holding it up and knocking it off to me and making runs. It was good to have a link up like that.

“We can definitely build that into something. Our luck at the minute isn’t going our way but if we keep playing like that the goals will start to flow.”

The 22 year old player signed on loan from Kilmarnock right at the end of the transfer window, agreed that losing the match from a soft penalty three minutes from time was a hard one to take:-

“That was my second game but that has been the kind of way of it. The breaks just aren’t going with us at the minute but we are trying to stay as positive as we can.

“I think there are a lot of positives to take out of the game and I didn’t think that we should have got beat to be honest.”

Greg feels that he has been made very welcome at East End Park:-

“It has been excellent, I have been really happy since coming and just buzzing to be back on the pitch. I was really happy to get a goal last week, I couldn’t get one today unfortunately.”

The possibility of lack of confidence in the squad was dismissed by Greg as he retorted:-

“It shouldn’t be. I think we did enough to win the game and when you have three shots in about thirty seconds that ricochet away from goal that tells you that it is just our luck at the minute.

“We just need to change that and obviously we need to start winning, that’s the goal and stay as positive as we can.”

Greg who has represented Scotland at every youth international level from under 15 to under 19, witnessed fortunes turned around at his loaned to club last season and feels that at such an early stage in the season things can easily turn around:

“This is my first game in the league. It is just five games in, there is plenty of time to turn that around. It is not the best start but listen two wins and it will be so different.

“I was at Morton last year and everyone was writing us off to go down. Anything can happen and you just need to be as positive as you can, that is the way of this league if I am honest. Everybody beats everybody, as you saw with Ayr and Dundee United.”
