Stevie Crawford was very pleased to bring in two players on loan from Hearts today, he told the website:-
“I had contact with Craig Levein a couple of days ago and the conversation went down the line of the availability of Harry and Anthony. I know the two of them from when I was at Hearts, although they were only 13 or 14 at the time.
“They used to come in on their school holidays and they’d train with some of the first-team who weren’t playing on the Saturday. You could see right away they could deal with the ball - technically they’re very good - and they weren’t frightened to get on the ball and try to be creative.
“So, they very much tick all the boxes for the way we want to try to play football and they’ll be great additions to the squad. I’m very thankful to Hearts as a football club and to Craig that he trusts us to look after them.”
He added: “They’re not coming here guaranteed game-time. They’re very good players but the challenge is there for them to force themselves into the starting 11. The two of them are very good footballers but we don’t want all the expectation on their shoulders just because they’re coming from Hearts.
“It’s the responsibility of us as a group to look after them. We can’t just expect them to come in and propel us into higher league positions, and things like that. That wouldn’t be fair on them.”
