Trialist in from Burnley
Tuesday, 27th Aug 201927/07/19: Eighteen year old trialist not the wide player the manager is known to be looking for
Stevie Crawford told the media today
“We have Vinnie Steels up on trial from Burnley. Whether that would be looking to add him to the first team squad? It is more about a player being made aware of as available.
"He is not the wide player that we are looking to add to the first team squad. We are covering all bases, always continually trying to add and look to develop our squad but as I say that is where we are at with that one.”
Eighteen year old Vinnie is from Hartlepool and started his career at Sunderland and then Darlington. He joined York City in February 2018.
Made his first team debut in April 2018 as a substitute against Nuneaton Town, aged 16, becoming the fourth youngest player in the club`s history. Went on to make his first start four days later against Gainsborough Trinity.
Vinnie joined Burnley in July 2018.
