Stevie Crawford started with good news of his centre half, Euan Murray who was stretchered off at the very end of the match.
“Thankfully he has just walked out after the paramedics have seen him. We thought that was going to have to go to the hospital but he has managed to walk into our dressing room so he is in the hands of our physio at the moment and then we will just have to make sure that he is looked after properly and we go through the right protocol.
“As it stands at the moment I don’t think he will need to go to hospital. They were going to take him to hospital but he has walked through after being checked. Thankfully there is nothing sinister or underlying.
“I am happy to see him on his feet walking about the dressing room. The concern was his neck he landed awkwardly, I don’t know the ins and outs of it but I am just delighted to see him because it is never nice seeing somebody lying on the ground for length of period whether it is your own player or an opposition player.”
Asked for his impressions of the 1-1 draw, Stevie said:-
“We thought that we created chances in the first half and we thought we deservedly took the lead. We created other chances in the first half and got a wee wake up call towards the end of the half.
“From the last kick of the ball from a set play they hit the crossbar. I didn’t think we started great in the second half. Credit to Queen of the South for the way they came out and it was disappointing to lose a goal in the manner we did.
“We made a change in formation, we put Kyle (Turner) in the hole and brought Josh Coley on. I thought he looked bright when he came on but we probably didn’t do enough to go on and take the three points at the end of the day.”
