Stevie Crawford said that he had to to give the players credit, who had been asked not to leave anything in the tank.

“The first half was very good in terms of the football that they played, the energy and creating chances.

“We scored two really good goals and could have had more. In the second half we started alright but Dundee at that stage were throwing everything at us. They have had to make a couple of changes but we are just frustrated in the manner that they got the equaliser. The positives from the game by far outweigh the negatives and I am just disappointed for everybody that we did not win the game.”

Stevie was asked what he thought of the two penalty decisions that effectively cost his side the win.

“The first one I have not seen, it happened really quickly. The second one I just felt that the reaction of the players tells it’s own story but I have not had a chance to look back on it but the boys are very disappointed in the dressing room.

“What we have got to be wary of is speaking about bringing energy to the team and boys giving their lot and that happened tonight. You can see by the reaction of the fans during the game and after the game.

“That is credit to the boys, we will try to be competitive. We have played against a very good Dundee side and we are disappointed with a point.”

The players must be wondering how they have not picked up three points.

“Dundee have made two changes at half time, they scored from a penalty just on the stroke of half time and it took another penalty for them to take a point from us.

“We are very much focused now on the Queen of the South game and the positives far outweigh the negatives tonight.”

Stevie was forced into making one change to his starting eleven bringing in Lewis McCann (pictured above) for the suspended Kyle Turner. By the time he was substituted late in the second half he had run himself into the ground, Stevie praises the 18 year old:-

“It was the same at the weekend along with Josh Coley and Kyle Turner. You are taking boys off with cramp. Ryan Dow came off with cramp and Lewis McCann was saying that he was feeling heavy legged. He is only a young kid coming in and credit to himself for the way he played tonight.”
