Preview Queen of the South

Saturday, 2nd Mar 2019

Ladbrokes Championship: Saturday 2nd March 2019, kick off 3.00pm at East End Park.

What a difference three wins make. Not so long ago Dunfermline were looking waryingly over their shoulders as the teams at the foot narrowed the gap on the seventh placed Pars. Nine points later the Fifers can eye up taking fourth place with a win over Queen of the South.

That’s all possible since Inverness Caley Thistle are still involved in the Scottish Cup. Queens have had a spell of indifferent form yet we know that they are capable of big results having this season thumped Ayr United 5-0, Ross County 4-0 and Dundee 3-0.

Dunfermline‘s focus was on Stephen Dobbie who had scored eleven goals in his previous seven league matches. He almost nicked to score a late winner but the attentions of both Danny Devine and James Craigen kept him out. Queens did however get in to score in 84th minute. Malaury Martin was brushed off the ball and sub Adam Frizzell raced away releasing the ball to Josh TODD speeding down the left channel to receive the pass that he swept past Lee Robinson from the edge of the box. 0-1
