Ryan’s 90 minutes for Scotland
Thursday, 6th Sep 2018Ryan Williamson played full game in Scotland’s 3-0 win over Andorra
Ryan Williamson started for the Under 21s in Scotland’s European Qualifier v Andorra on Thursday night at Tynecastle.
Although they had several good attempts at goal, it took the home side until the last minute of the first half to break the deadlock. When Ryan Porteous was impeded by Alex Martinez in the box, Fraser HORNBY was able to convert from the penalty spot.
HORNBY headed in a Billy Gilmour cross to double the advantage in 69 minutes. The big striker completed his hat trick seven minutes from the end.
As for the Pars man he did nothing wrong but he didn’t really get the deliveries to go speeding up the wing until the second half, when he did he created the usual fear in the defence. His team mates don’t seemed to have yet grasped the great danger Ryan can create when he gets to the byeline.
