Hearts pair sign
Friday, 31st Aug 2018Dunfermline Athletic are pleased to announce the signing of two players on loan from Hearts. Thirty year old midfielder Malaury Martin and nineteen year old striker Aidan Keena.

Having been born in Nice and starting his career at AS Monaco, Malaury Martin joined Hearts on a three-and-a-half-year deal in January last year after leaving Norwegian top-flight side Lillestrom. He came on 15 minutes from the end of the Betfred Cup match between Hearts and Dunfermline in July last year.
The Frenchman, who has captained France at U17, U19 and U21 level, has enjoyed spells with Blackpool, Middlesbrough and Swiss side Lausanne. He has since played for Norwegian top division sides Sandnes Ulf and Lillestrom, scoring 11 goals in 45 league appearances for the latter.

Aidan Keena from Mullingar in Westmeath has previously played for St Patrick`s Athletic in the Irish Premier Division and Queen`s Park. He has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-17 and Under-18 level
Aidan made his St Patrick`s Athletic debut at the age of 17 in February 2017 when coming on as a sub midway through the second half in the opening match of the League of Ireland season.
He signed a three year deal at Hearts in August 2017. After impressing first team staff with his goalscoring form for the reserves, the 18 year old was called up to the first team and made his debut as a late substitute in a 1–1 draw v Partick Thistle at Tynecastle on 19 November 2017.
Keena was loaned to Scottish League One club Queen`s Park in January 2018. He started 15 matches and came on as a sub once while scoring 8 goals for the Glasgow side.
Manager Allan Johnston gave his assessment of Aidan:-
“He was out on loan last season and scored a few goals. He did well pre season for Hearts. He has good energy, good pace. Obviously he is not fit just now since he has picked up an injury.
“It will be a number of weeks before he is fit so he will stay at Hearts just now until he is ready to come.
“He is a young player who is desperate to come and do well. He is a good finisher when you see the goals that he scored last season. Hopefully he can come and give us a lift.”
