Josh Robertson signs for Dunfermline
Friday, 25th May 2018Following in his grandad’s footsteps

Josh Robertson joined Dunfermline nine years ago from Kinnoull Boys Club. This week he is one of six Fife Elite players signed by the club. Josh attended Perth High School and was 14 when he played his first game for Dunfermline, a 2-0 win over Dundee.
The seventeen year old full back who has made appearances at U20 level over the last three seasons has signed a two year deal with Dunfermline Athletic.

Josh’s grandfather George Moran played for Dunfermline and for years Josh’s mother has transported him up and down from Perth in a big effort to encourage her son to follow in her father’s footsteps.
“My grandad used to play football with me all the time in the back garden. He had been a footballer and I just wanted to be like him.”

Pre season starts on 14 June and Josh will be trying his hardest to impress. He is pleased that team mates Matty Todd and Gregor Jordan will move up from Fife Elite as well, he added:-
“I have played with them before. I know what they are capable of. I know what their strengths and weaknesses are and they know mine.”
