Friday, 18th May 2018“There are huge positives to take and belief that we can go all the way next season.”
James Craigen discussed his new one year deal with Dunfermline Athletic, excited and keen to get stuck in again next season:-
“I am delighted to sign a new contract. I have really enjoyed my time here since January now I am looking forward to next season and a full year here.
“After leaving Falkirk I feel that I bedded in quite well and with fifteen starts. Any player will say that they want to play games and the manager brought me in and had faith in me to go and play.

“Although our goal was to get promoted and missed out in the play offs, I thought my performances were at a level to be offered a new contract.”
As James heads off to holiday in Portugal, he can relax in the full knowledge of having signed on at Dunfermline. He added:-
“There are so many boys out of contract at the end of the season but it is good to be able to go off on holiday with the deal done.
“With the signings today joining the bulk of the squad we have a great platform. With maybe a couple of additions we can be really challenging for promotion. That is going to be our aim.
“We don’t want to be going through the play offs, we want to be winning the league.”
James record of losing out in play offs for three successive seasons means that it is no surprise that the 27 year old has a desire to win promotion via route one:-
“I am definitely looking forward to going one better. It is gone now and I am looking forward to next season. With a few additions we will have a great pool of players and a squad that can be challenging to go and win the league.”
The defeat at Tannadice ended an eleven match unbeaten run and that left the Pars players confident for the 2018-2019 season.
“There are huge positives to take out of that and belief that we can go all the way next season.”
