“It was a good team performance today, you couldn’t really pick out individuals there were a lot of good performances.”

Allan Johnston claimed that it was good to come to a place like Falkirk and get the three points.
“It has been a hard place to come in the last couple of seasons, so we are delighted to get the win in such an important game for us as well.
“I thought we were outstanding in the first half with some of the football and chances that we created. Then in the second half obviously Falkirk threw everything at us and the boys were throwing their bodies in the way to stop shots.”
The 2-0 lead was cut back by a 79th minute penalty converted by Aaron Muirhead. AJ said:-
“I don’t know if it was actually a penalty, it looked a bit soft. It looked as though Nicky (Clark) actually it the ball off him. We can’t really complain, we get the win and you could see how much it meant to the fans and now it is on to the next one.”
Drawing similarities with the end of the Livingston match on Tuesday the Pars gaffer agreed that they were certainly making it difficult for themselves:-
“Credit to the players, you can see that they are full of confidence just now. As I said some of the chances we created in the first half, we could probably have scored another couple of goals and that would have made it a lot easier, rather than the way we finished the game.
“It is always dangerous when you only have two goals. To be fair to the boys, this year we have not been losing a lot of goals. So at 2-0 up you are pretty confident that you are going to win the game and see it out.
“We just have to make sure that we continue that because we have a bit of momentum just now. You can see that there are no easy games in this league, look at the Dumbarton result beating Dundee United. It just shows you that you can’t get complacent.
“We have a lot of massive games coming up, we have to be fully focussed because if you come off a wee bit in this league you get punished.”
Kallum Higginbotham was the hero scoring the first goal and Allan Johnston was delighted for the player:-
“Obviously the last game here I think he let himself down and obviously let the players down as well. He has made up for it and it was also good to see Airdy scoring as well. Two ex Falkirk players with a point to prove, so that is always nice.
“He showed a bit of character, he watched his tackles and never went overboard. He kept his discipline and he is a big player for us, you can see that there is no coincidence that the team’s fortunes have turned around since he started playing well again. He is such a big player.
“It was a good team performance today, you couldn’t really pick out individuals there were a lot of good performances.”
