Red mist is thing of the past

Sunday, 11th Feb 2018

“I just try and be composed as I can be, that is all that matters.”

Former Livingston player Jason Talbot was disappointed not to take three points away from the Tony Macaroni Arena on Saturday. He told the post match media.-

“It was a frustrating day. I think it was two points dropped, we just have to look forward to the next game now and correct the mistakes we made in that game to drop the points.”

Dunfermline bombarded the Livingston goal but just could not score the goal that was needed to win. Jason felt that it was just one of those days.

“You try everything, different crosses, different styles of play and to be honest they defended very well. Their keeper pulled off one or two good saves and all credit to him.”

It was a physical game in which three Dunfermline players collected first half yellow cards. Livingston’s Jordan Thompson was shown a straight red and Jason has seen red himself no fewer than 11 times in his career so far. He added:-

“I don’t like to delve into the past, the past is the past and there for a reason. I am getting on a bit so I can’t be throwing myself into challenges like I used to. I just try and be composed as I can be, that is all that matters.”

The 32 year old left back played down the fact that Livingston were the opposition. He made 200 appearance for them between 2008 and 2015 but claimed that he and his team mates want to win every game:-

“It doesn’t matter who you are playing, ex team mates or former clubs you want to get the three points no matter what.”
