Callum Morris feels that there is no better team to play next but the side that everyone in the league is chasing. Add live television and there is plenty to prove in the Friday night fixture against St Mirren. He told the media:-
"It is good to see that the TV companies are showing a bit of interest in our league. It is probably the most competitive league at the minute. St Mirren have got themselves on a good run but it is up to us to stop them.
"It is a good opportunity for ourselves, a good Friday crowd, no other (Scottish) games on TV. Not just for me but for all the other lads it is good to be on TV since some have not had that exposure before. We are all looking forward to it.
"We have picked up a bit recently performance wise. Saturday wasn`t a great result but there were still a lot of positives from it. If we put in a good performance to take the three points it would be a good start on a run."
The central defender acknowledged that St Mirren have a threat in an attacking mode but he claimed that is a common thread amongst opponents in the Ladbroke Championship.
"You always want to test yourself against the best players. Lewis Morgan has got his move to Celtic and that is well deserved in my eyes, he has been brilliant this season. Every time we have played against him, young Ryan (Williamson) and him have gone at it and Ryan has probably come out on top both times.
"He will have a lot of confidence after what has happened to him recently and the run that they have been on. Gavin Reilly has been scoring goals for fun which is great for him as well. You kind of thrive off trying to snuff them out. Hopefully we can keep another clean sheet - there have been four in the last five games.
"Gav is a good lad and I still speak to him now and again. I was on a PFA course with him in the past weeks. He has found somewhere where he fits in well and scoring goals. He has shown what he can do after it not working out for him here last season. It just shows you that you need to be in the right place to play your best football. That has happened for him but not so good for the rest of us."
The Pars captain is possibly more pleased that most Scottish football followers with Northern Ireland boss Michael O`Neill turning down the Scotland job this week, he added:-
"He has brought me back into the fold this season. The last thing you want is another manager. So it`s the same faces about and hopefully come the friendlies in March I could be in about the squad."
