Fans Open Meeting with Club Chairman
Thursday, 18th Jan 2018DAFC Chairman, Ross McArthur would like to extend an open invitation to all supporters to come along to the Purvis Suite at East End Park, on 25 January at 7pm.
Ross will be joined by Drew Main, DAFC Director and Supporter Liaison Officer and DAFC General Manager, Michael Mlotkiewicz.
Ross explained the purpose of the meeting “it is designed to be an open and informal meeting, where I would like to hear feedback from supporters on any issues they face on match days, any perceptions they may hold or any concerns in general. In turn, I can explain some of the issues that our club face meeting the requirements of the SPFL and other authorities. It is really important for everyone to share feedback, and learn the challenges that we face, so I am hoping it will be an informative meeting for everyone. Also, I don’t want anyone to feel on the night, any reticence to ask questions either, no one will be judging them or taking notes.
I may be privileged to be Club Chairman, but first and foremost I will always be a supporter and if I am being totally honest I do find negativity really disheartening, so I decided this was the best way to try and sit down with our own supporters, and if necessary hear first-hand why there might be any disconnect or disillusionment on their part. We are far stronger as a club, when we are all moving forward together. Therefore, I want to do what I can to ensure any concerns are addressed or improvements made, as everyone’s opinions or ideas are valued.
In finishing, I have to acknowledge that the support our fans have given to the players over the last few games has been fantastic, which the players and manager greatly appreciate.”
