Allan Johnston was disappointed to take just one point from the home match against Morton.
"I thought first half that we played really well. We go a goal head and they got a bit of fortune with their goal. There was a lot of good play, Nicky (Clark) did well to get in the channel, puts a good ball in and eventually Andy Ryan gets the goal. We go ahead and look quite comfortable.
"Then it was a poor goal to lose from our point of view. Callum (Morris) was unlucky, he put in a good challenge and they got the break of the ball and the boy finished it.
"I felt that there wasn`t much between the teams in the second half. We probably had more pressure. We were in a lot of good areas, put a lot of crosses in the box and looked threatening without working the keeper enough.
"It looked as though it was a penalty because it looked as though it was inside the box. The officials have got to get that right as well. We had really good chances to go and finish them off with that wee bit of quality but sometimes the final pass let us down. We seemed to slip a couple of times at vital moments as well. Sean made a great save at the end to keep us in the game."
Dunfermline had fifteen shots at goal, was it a case of not taking chances?
"I thought the boys who came in did really well, Fraser Aird and Andy Ryan threatened upfront. We scored a goal and had really good chances. We put a lot of crosses into the box - something we have not done enough of in recent weeks. On another day we could have scored a few more goals."
Making his first appearance since 2nd September, Michael Paton replaced Joe Cardle and the manager commented:-
"Joe was out for a while and has not played a lot of games recently. You could tell that he was tiring towards the end so it was obviously good to have Paton available especially with Higgy being suspended."
Andy Ryan has now scored two goals in two games and his boss felt that he came in to form a really good partnership with Nicky Clark upfront:-
"I think Nicky won a lot of good headers, obviously he was involved in the goal and Andy Ryan looks a finisher as well, he was unlucky not to score another one. There are a lot of positives but there is still a lot we can improve on as well.
"We need to get back to clean sheets because that is one thing that is letting us down just now."
