Smith signs new deal

Dunfermline Athletic are delighted to announce striker Callum Smith has signed a one-year extension to his current deal.

The striker, who earned deserved call-ups to the Scotland Under 19 squad, scoring twice on his debut against Serbia in August said: “I’m delighted to sign a new deal with the club. Three years ago I was just playing boys club football, now l am playing most weeks in the first-team and appearing for Scotland, it has been a dream come true. I would like to thank the management team for the faith that they have shown in me.

I just need to keep working hard, my main objectives are to play more for the club, and hopefully be called up again for Scotland.”

Manager, Allan Johnston concluded: "I am delighted Callum has signed a new contract, he continually works hard to improve his game, and has a fantastic attitude. Callum is just one of our talented young players that have gone from strength to strength whilst at the club.”

Callum’s new deal will see him contracted until 31 May 2020.
