Chance to stay top shot down

Captain disappointed to let the team`s twelfth man down

Callum Morris reckons that he and his team mates can get over the set back of Saturday`s result against Dundee United with a win at Falkirk next Saturday in the Irn Bru Cup. He told the media:-

"We are all disappointed because there wasn`t much in the game at the start. The most disappointing thing is that we didn`t play as well as know we can do. We didn`t do the things that we have done well all season which has got us to where we are.

"It was another game with a chance to stay top of the league. We want to win as many games as possible and want to win as many games at home and make it a bit of a fortress. We were very confident going into the game so we are disappointed."

It did not look good for Dunfermline from the moment they went a goal behind towards the end of the first half, Callum commented:-

"That has not happened many times this season and it may be that a couple of heads might go down. We need to work out how to bounce back from that, be more resilient and be tougher.

"You see it every day in training, you lose goals and the boys are right back getting the ball in play. We didn`t do that against Dundee United.

"The crowd are like a twelfth man here now, the amount of fans that have poured through the doors gives us an extra boost to go out there and put in performances.

"They have been brilliant and nice to see that we are all together, the fans, the players, the staff, everyone around the club are all in this together and pulling in the same direction. It has been brilliant since day one of this season.

"I cannot thank them enough, I am just disappointed that we did not put on a performance for them. We will bounce back on Saturday. On Monday we will have a look at the video and see what we can do better and take that into the Falkirk game."
