Brown Signs for DAFC
Wednesday, 23rd Aug 2017Pars fan, Graham Brown is living the dream after signing a one-year contract with his beloved, Dunfermline Athletic.
Graham, was picked as the lucky winner of the ‘Sign for The Pars’ initiative, facilitated by the Pars Supporters Trust at the club Open Day and kit launch in July.
Sign for The Pars was launched in March and gave all Pars fans the dream opportunity to join Allan Johnston’s squad for the 2017/2018 season and experience life as a DAFC player.
Graham, originally from Dunfermline is now based in Wetherby, England. “My first game was the 1968 Scottish Cup Final, which is pretty apt for this season, with it marking 50 years! My favourite player of all time was probably Istvan Kozma, l was lucky enough to see his famous hat-trick against St Mirren, the whole of Dunfermline claim to have been there that day! I still travel up a few times a season to support the team, or l follow the match updates online if l can’t get up to East End Park.
To have the opportunity to sign an official contract, meet Allan and the team, and be in the team photo is just a dream come true, it’s something l never thought would happen in my lifetime!”
Manager, Allan Johnston said: “It was great to meet Graham and welcome him as part of my squad for the 2017/2018 season. I’d like to thank all the fans who entered the Sign for The Pars initiative and the Pars Supporters Trust for facilitating it. Another example of how our community club continues to engage with the fanbase."
Graham has chosen squad number 68 and will be part of the squad in the Lap of Honour season.
