Allan Johnston did not want to talk about how opponents, Falkirk contributed to their own demise. He told the media after the match:-
"We just have to concentrate on ourselves. There is no point talking about Falkirk, we have to talk about the good things that we did and the good goals that we scored. To score three goals against a top quality team shows you how far we have come.
"We struggled to get results against Falkirk las season. It was a really encouraging performance and some of the goals were really good. Declan McManus` first one came from a great pass from Kallum Higginbotham and he showed a real bit of composure to finish it off.
"Joe Cardle is on fire just now. He is scoring goals for fun. He is creating goals, he is scoring goals and I thought young Callum Smith upfront had a fantastic game. He was really unlucky not to score and he is getting better and better every game."
Is the worrying factor just that Falkirk should have been polished off earlier?
"Towards the end even after the had two men sent off, it got nervy a 2-0. If they got a goal back, as you saw, obviously it gets a wee bit nervous at times. But we should have scored the third one before that. We got a goal chalked off when Declan McManus scored, he was never offside.
"It should have been 3-0 at that point and then it would probably have been four or five.
"We are delighted to get the third goal and a win over Falkirk. Hopefully we can continue that standard of play."
The Pars manager praised the support and he was glad that they went home to celebrate the first win over Falkirk since May 2011.
"We had good support and these are the games that you want to win. They are massive games, good crowd, good atmosphere and we knew that we would have to win the battle. I thought we did that at times but still had the composure to pass the ball.
"It was a really good team performance and we would only criticise not getting the clean sheet."
Falkirk finished last season in second place so the Pars manager was very pleased to have taken three points off them in just the third league match of the season. He predicted:-
"The will be up there again, they have a lot of good players and the manager has a lot of experience - he has been there, done it - I`m sure will be up there challenging come the end of the season. It just shows you how big a result it was."
Falkirk manager Peter Houston termed it a terrible day for his club:-
"In the first half we trotted about while they went about it with pace. They sliced through back four far too easily, soft as putty our players today.
"At 2-0 down where one goal brings you right back into it, there was a total lack of discipline from two of our senior players. They let the club down today
