68 Beer Launched
Sunday, 6th Aug 2017There will be a new addition to Legends and Charlie Ds ahead of the new season, a special 1968 craft beer, brewed in honour of the Scottish Cup winning heroes.
Cup winning captain, Roy Barry was on-hand to pour the first pint, and try out the new beer. “This is a fantastic initiative from the club and sponsors, Belhaven. The Lap of Honour campaign has been brilliant to date, and it’s great to see fans of all ages taking interest in what we achieved in 1968. After trying the beer out, l am sure it’ll be a winner with our supporters.”
Simeon Stewart, Sales Development Manager from Belhaven said: “It’s exciting times at Dunfermline Athletic, we are pleased to announce the launch of their Limited Edition Draught 1968 I.P.A. This is a refreshing and beautiful styled IPA with a citrus, floral and spicy notes. It has a mellow, tropical flour. We hope that all the supporters and visitors to East End Park enjoy a pint of this exciting IPA. We would like to wish all at DAFC all the very best for this coming season.”
The new beer will be available for the 2017/2018 season in both Legends and Charlie Ds, priced at £3.50 per pint.
It has also been confirmed, Charlie Ds will be the new match day home for the club’s Former Players’ Association (FPA).
General Manager, Michael Mlotkiewicz said: “Charlie Ds is a family bar and a popular part of fans’ match day experience at East End Park. After speaking to the FPA, we felt moving forward it was the perfect home for them. Having the FPA based in Charlie Ds will enhance the match day experience, supporters can meet heroes from all decades, get photos, autographs, and speak about memories from yesteryear.”
