Walk the Queensferry Crossing for Margaret
Tuesday, 4th Jul 2017The new Forth Crossing opens at the end of August, and there is an opportunity to walk the Bridge on the 2nd and 3rd of September.
As a tribute to Margaret Ross, the Pars Supporters Trust thought it would be fantastic to have as many Pars fans walk the bridge at that time, and either be sponsored or make a donation of at least £10. All proceeds will go to the Margaret Ross Memorial Fund, a fund to support young footballers at the Club.
Groups of fans walking in football strips and carrying flags will make a fabulous spectacle. Access to the walk is by ballot, so we ask for as many fans as possible to apply using this link:

Queensferry took its name from St Margaret, who is said to have established the original ferry crossing for pilgrims. Margaret Ross, Chair of the PST and latterly DAFC Director walked the Road Bridge with many fans during the "Save the Pars" campaign. She sadly passed away in 2016 and we now have an opportunity to repeat her journey on the new Bridge as a tribute to her and her hard work.
It will also be a great social outing and an opportunity to raise funds for young footballers at the Club, a cause close to her heart.
Although not everyone will succeed in securing a place in the ballot, we hope hundreds of fans will cross the new Bridge in black and white, and raise money for a lasting legacy. Even if you cannot make the walk or fail in the ballot, a donation or sponsoring another walker at this time would be a fantastic gesture.
