Liam attended Balwearie High School and started playing football at Glenrothes Athletic. From there he was picked up by FFPA (Fife Football Performance Academy), then scouted into Fife Elite and from there picked up by Dunfermline Athletic. A strong talented full back who credits Greg Shields as the coach who has had the biggest influence on him.
Liam was 15 when he made it into the Dunfermline Athletic under 18s and played his first reserve game two days after his 16th birthday. Liam made his Dunfermline debut when coming on as a substitute in the 4-0 win over Annan Athletic in the Viaplay Cup in July 2023.
