DUNFERMLINE 0 HIBERNIAN 3
Lewis Martin returned to action in this SPFL Development League match against Hibs at New Central Park, Kelty on Monday afternoon. Ryan Williamson continued at right back and other first team squad members - Lewis Spence, Michael Paton and Gavin Reilly - were included in the starting eleven.
After a slow start during which time Hibs were allowed to score from a free header from a cross, Dunfermline came back into it. There were a few good balls across the box and Reilly was unfortunate with his one on one.
Half time: Dunfermline 0 Hibernian 1
The second half was only 20 seconds old when Ollie SHAW ran out through the Pars, hit a shot that Gill saved but followed up to tap in the second effort.
With a two goal lead Hibs were on comfortably on top but Dunfermline did get chances but none that they could capitalise on. Michael Paton and Reece Duncan both found themselves one on one with the goalkeeper but failed to score.
Lewis Spence and Brandon Luke both had useful efforts from the edge of the box but again failed to hit the target.
The third Hibs goal came from a SHAW free kick and there was no disputing the capital side were worthy of their win.
There have been times this season when the Development team has been really competitive, been strong, worked hard but in this match it really wasn`t like that.
