HAMILTON ACCIES 3 DUNFERMLINE 0

This Development League match at Hamilton`s SuperSeal Stadium saw the return to match action of Ryan Williamson. Reece Duncan dropped out to make way for him while on the other flank Euan Spark replaced Jack McClair and in midfield Lewis Spence came in for Brandon Luke.

Hamilton lay in sixth place one point above the Pars both having played 14 league matches. There was a cautious start from both sides and it was thirteenth minute before the visitors got a shot at goal. Not one, two shots - the first from Evan Horne and the second from Scott Lochhead - both held by the Accies keeper Robbie Thomson.

It was midway through the half before Hamilton created much to concern the defence and Scott McMann swung the ball across the face of Cammy Gill`s goal only for Marc Kelly to return and this time Williamson headed clear.

Paul Allan denied Richard Roy a great opportunity in 26th minute stealing the ball off him on the edge of the six yard box. A Hamilton corner from the left was then headed away by Galloway but in 31 minutes Gill parried a Kelly shot from close in and Spark stepped in to blast away the loose ball.

Shaun Want rose to meet a corner in from the right and his header was stopped on the line as the referee penalised the Hamilton no.4 for climbing. Next Williamson delivered another fine cross and Thomson was forced to tip over Smith`s dangerous header. Lochhead`s corner was dealt with by the home defence before Jack Breslin got two crosses into the Pars box from the right but both were overhit.

Galloway`s effort from 25 yards was held by Thomson and right on half time Jojo McGregor headed his attempt from a corner on the left on to the roof of the net.

Half time: Hamilton Accies 0 Dunfermline Athletic 0

Hamilton made two substitutions before the restart, Ryan Tierney and Lewis Smith replacing Craig Watson and Richard Roy. Within five minutes TIERNEY had opened the scoring coolly slotting home a Breslin cross from eight yards. 1-0

The Pars had a glorious chance to get back on level terms just seven minutes later. Lochhead robbed McGregor and took the ball into the left side of the box before centring the ball for what looked a certain goal but Callum Smith sent his shot over the crossbar.

Williamson was withdrawn on the hour and Brandon Luke came on with Galloway moving to right back. On 62 minute Spark sent Lochhead through but his cross seeking Smith was cut out by the central defence. Hamilton broke to the other end where there SMITH fought off challenges before burying the ball in the bottom right of the Pars net. 2-0

In 66 minutes Spark turned a McMann cross over his own bar and when the corner was delivered from the left both Spark and Want ended up in the net as the referee blew for an infringement.

Ben Reilly had to come on for Want in 69 minutes and Hamilton notched a third a minute later after Gill was drawn out of his box on the right. The keeper failed the ball being fed into the box and could not cover his far post before SMITH picked his spot. 3-0

Lochhead tested Thomson in 72 minutes but the keeper pulled off a good save. An 80th minute free kick on the right corner of the Hamilton box was lifted into the area in front of goal by Crawford and although Lafferty met it at the near post, he drove the shot wide right.

McMann overlapped to get himself in for a shot two minutes later but Gill held. There was one final chance as Spark got wide left to centre for Luke but the cross was headed clear before any impression could be made to the scoreline.
