John Potter stepped in to play in central defence with Allan Johnston filling in for the U20s coach in the dugout. Dunfermline kicked off their penultimate Development League fixture attacking the goal at the Cowdenbeath end and it was the home side that threatened first, James Thomas' fourth minute shot blocked by Killie defenders. Next PJ Crossan was put through on left side but keeper Lyle saved his shot.

16: Good play between Brandon Luke and James Thomas but Evan Horne unable to get in a shot
18: Robbie Crawford fouled midway in Kilmarnock half by Aaron Splaine. Horne to take free kick but defence clear
