It was a Celtic team including first team players Charlie Mulgrew, Tyler Blackett, Patrick Roberts, Scott Allan, Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic that kicked off on the astro on a very cold night at Lennoxtown. Dunfermline fielded first team squad players too in Shaun Rooney, Lewis Martin, Ryan Wallace, Rhys McCabe, Shaun Byrne and David Hopkirk.

6: Dunfermline attack but Wallace pass to Martin was just behind him
8: Byrne slides in to dispossess Celtic player in box and it goes for a goal kick to Dunfermline
10: Gill down quick to make a great stop from Allan after a powerful run from Roberts.
12: Goal Celtic - ROBERTS, good finish in off the inside of the post. 1-0
14: Corner on right to Celtic and Gill makes a good save from the header
14: Celtic's second goal came from a mistake in defence and Paul McMULLAN finished with style, chipping the keeper for 2-0
18: Great play and pass allows Hopkirk to shoot but keeper Ross Doohan blocks and the danger is cleared.
21: Great tackle by Martin as he stops Roberts, but corner given.
22: Christie connects with Roberts' corner but fires over the bar from the edge of the box.
23: Free kick to Pars on far side of penalty area. Taken short by Wallace to McCabe. Pass cleared out

25: Hopkirk shot over bar
26: Gill makes another good save from Allan at his post. Corner to Celtic. Rooney heads out and then ball cleared
28: Morrison makes another telling interception
29: Great ball from Hopkirk to Crossan but PJ offside
30: Gill saves a curling shot from Rogic
31: McMullan sets up goal and fine finish for Ryan CHRISTIE 3-0
34: ROBERTS chips into far corner for his second 4-0
37: Rooney wins corner on right. Passed to Byrne on edge of box but he couldn't get shot away.
39: Byrne again dispossesses a Celtic player in box and its cleared out
41: Gill makes another good save from Roberts
43: Christie shoots narrowly over from 20 yards out.

It was a disappointing first half for Dunfermline who lost out too often in midfield. Celtic's players overan the Pars.

52: Free kick to Celtic for challenge on Rogic - Mulgrew sends ball high over Gill goal

58: Wallace should have done better but was dispossessed running through Celtic defence.
60: McCabe pass to McClair was cut out by defender
61: Chance Celtic when Roberts picked out Christie but his shot goes narrowly wide.

65: Wallace sends in a cross but defender clears before Crossan can get his head to it
69: Chance - Hopkirk after flowing move up the park. Corner given and Rooney sends his header wide
71: Gill makes another save and Celtic take the corner short. Defence get the ball away
71: Hopkirk gets the corner and Wallace to take. Keeper punches clear
73: Stuart Morrison blocks on the line from Roberts
75: Christie fires into sidenetting
79: Allan curls wide a shot from distance
84: Wallace sends Crossan away but when his cross comes in - no one to take advantage.
85: Rooney wins a corner on right and Wallace takes. First Rooney then Morrison attempt headers but referee gives free kick to Celtic.
88: Kelleher goes on run through middle but Gill comes ouit to smother in front of McMullan.
