Dunfermline Under 20s took in a useful friendly against junior side, Glenrothes on Monday night at the Warout Stadium. The match time was more important than the result with Chris Kane, Kerr Young and Allan Smith getting useful minutes. Nevertheless the Pars recorded a useful win.
The first goal was scored by Lewis SPENCE on the half hour after Ryan Williamson was taken down on the right side of the opposition penalty box. Scott Mercer whipped the free kick in and there was a successful finish from the midfielder who turned and finished.
SMITH added to the scoreline twenty minutes into the second half. Gavin Paterson and Scott Mercer did all the work on the right and the striker hit the net with a low drive to the keeper`s right.
