Dunfermline U20s suffered defeat to table topping Dundee United on Tuesday night in a game that player/coach John Potter felt that his team did not deserve to lose. After a reasonable opening half hour when the Pars gave as good as they got but a mistake by Potter let in Milos LACNY to advance on goal and beat Ryan Goodfellow. 1-0.
United finished the first half the stronger and when Ryan GAULD put them two up in 59 minutes, they dominated for before the home side picked up their game and put in a good showing for the final half hour.
Blair Henderson, back after a ten weeks absence through injury, was brought down in the box as he ran on to a through ball from Chris Kane. The Pars duly got a goal back as Ross MILLEN scored from the spot in 73 minutes but there was to be no equaliser despite coming close.
