U19s v Inverness CT
Friday, 26th Aug 2011SPL U19 League: Pars end up all square with Caley Thistle at Stirling
DUNFERMLINE 2 INVERNESS CALEY THISTLE 2

Dunfermline`s equaliser came from a 34th minute corner. Initially the cross was headed out by a defender but Ross Millen returned the ball for Kerr YOUNG to head home. The goal was a fair return for a good first half performance with good play and good passing.
Half Time: Dunfermline 1 Inverness Caley Thistle 1
Six minutes into the second half Allan Smith evaded tackles down the wing and finished the move by crashing the ball past keeper, Ed Baldy.
Hamish French`s team began to look commanding and Smith made the keeper pull off a good save to keep the lead at just one.

However, Caley Thistle scored an equaliser in 61 minutes, but it was a poor goal from the Pars point of view. A corner from the left was not dealt with. Matthew Murphy was not picked up as he ran in and was allowed to send a looping header from the far side of the six yard box into the Dunfermline net.

Both teams had chances in the last half hour; Blair Henderson coming closest for the home side and the visitors nearly clinching it with a long range shot that hit the top of the crossbar. Coach Hamish French commented:- "It is a pity, given all our possession that we didn`t trouble the keeper more than we did."
