Dunfermline started the game well scoring in the 5th minute when Lee Graham crossed a long ball from the right hand side to the far post, where Manager Jim McINTYRE looped a header goalwards that the goalkeeper could only touch on to the bar, the ball then hit him and went in at the other side of the goal.
Andy Barrowman had a good shot which was saved by Greg Paterson diving to his left.
Another header by the gaffer in 18th minute went narrowly past after good work by Graham and Willie Gibson.
In 21st minute Greg Paterson had another good save from the head of Barrowman. When the ball was cleared out of defence, Paul Willis ran on to the ball but shot across goal and narrowly wide of the left post.
Higgins had a good block on Barrowman again inside the box as he was about to shoot. In 33rd minute another shot by Willis after good work up the left hand side between Gibson, Mason and McIntyre.

Paul Willis had another shot at goal in the 50th minute from a good cross ball from McIntyre but it went left of goal. Just a minute later a free kick to Ross County by left back Moore went high over the bar.
In 57th minute Willie Gibson took a free kick that was deflected for a corner after McIntyre had been fouled just outside the box.Ten minutes later Willie Gibson fired a ball across goal that was missed by everyone including Steven Leslie. Gibson and McIntyre were then substituted by McHattie and McIntosh. In 74th minute Leslie was fouled just outside the box in a central position and Scott Muirhead took the free kick which was saved well by Malin.
Paul Willis moved to centre forward after Leslie was replaced by Trialist. There was a near miss by County in 79th minute when Grant ran on to a ball that had bounced over Higgins head but with only Paterson to beat sent the ball wide left of goal. There was another scare just a few minutes later when Smith had a free header from a corner.Gary Mason looked like he had never been out of the team, good display from the young centre half Kerr Young, The Manager looked a bit ring rusty, though took his goal well. The Pars didn`t get the game all their own way as County had quite a few chances on goal, but Paterson had a couple of good saves and caught everything in the air.
