Pre Season Friendly: John Seaton 1-0: John Seaton 2-0: John Seaton (18) 3-0: Stewart Petrie (39) 3-1: Andy Smith (84) 3-2: David Bingham (88) 3-3:

Just as happened the previous night Dunfermline were confronted by a side who had just defeated a Scottish League team (Forfar). Weather conditions were much improved from the night before but the pitch was in very poor condition.

Lossiemouth are a much-improved outfit these days and it took them no time to show it! They strung together a good move which ended with an excellent diving header from John SEATON to open the scoring.

Dunfermline had no time to recover from that before Lossie attacked again., and with the Pars defence in disarray, SEATON pounced again to make it 2-0. With only 18 minutes on the clock the unthinkable happened. A poor clearance from keeper Guido van de Kamp was charged down by that man SEATON and he had the simplest task to net his hattrick.

This may have been a friendly, and the pitch might have been in poor nick, but nobody had been ready for that kind of start.

Dunfermline slowly clawed their way back into it and Kenny Ward making his first team re-appearance after his extended lay-off, was unlucky to hit the bar in 36 minutes. Three minutes later Stewart PETRIE opened the Pars account with a close-range header after a goalmouth scramble. But if this was supposed to herald the Pars comeback, it wasn`t to be.

At the start of the second half Lossiemouth continued to take the game to Dunfermline. After the introduction of four second half substitutes, Dunfermline at last began to dominate.

Andy SMITH pulled one back in 84 minutes, then David BINGHAM secured the draw in 88 minutes after another goalmouth scramble. Dunfermline had two further chances to secure the win but it would hardly have been justified.
