Blair’s winning habit

Since Ryan Blair arrived at Dunfermline Athletic just prior to the January transfer window closing, he has started four matches and on every occasion the team has won.
The 23 year old who came through the youth set up at Falkirk scored just his second ever senior goal and that 74th minute strike was enough to allow the Pars to take all three points from Saturday’s Championship match against Queen of the South. He told the media:-
“It was a scrappy game throughout but I was just delighted to get my goal my first one for Dunfermline.
That’s four wins on the bounce now and we need to kick on from here and hopefully we can make that play off place our own.
“I like getting shots at goal, advancing up the park. Down at Swansea I am more of a holding player, like an anchor man. Up here show me the goal and I like to get forward and get strikes at goal.
Ryan was unlucky with a 23rd minute free kick, Queens keeper Alan Martin flinging himself towards his top right to spectacularly turn Ryan’s shot away. He felt that typified the first 45 minutes.
“You could see how tight it was in the first half, second half it was a battle and I’m just delighted that we came out on top.
“The boys are buzzing. When I came in I didn’t think that it was downbeat at all really but now after four wins on the bounce we are all flying and ready to go again. We just want game after game.
“It is a perfect time to get this run again. At this point of the season there is a lot of pressure on teams to get into that top four. It is a great time to get it and long may it continue.”
