Spence playing it cool

While enjoying the involvement the 18 year old Pars midfielder termed each one of them as a tough game.

"Even the Annan game when we won 5-1 they still came at us in the second half. The Raith game was a brilliant game and Brechin were hard to break down because they sat back.

"I think I have been doing well. The older boys with experience have been helping me through games, Andy Geggan, Josh Falkingham and Ross Forbes. I try and work hard and keep it as simple as I can on match days.

"I am not getting as nervous or worked up and tried to relax a bit when I am on the pitch. The role that I have been playing in the last few weeks has been running off the the ball and screening the defenders. When I get on the ball I have to try and get forward as quick as I can."

Lewis made seven first team appearances last season, he has never played against Forfar Athletic but hopes to feature on Saturday, he knows what to expect:-

"Stephen Husband could be playing against us and he will be right up for it. There are a lot of hard games coming up and we are looking forward to playing Falkirk on Tuesday because they are in a higher division. We believe that we are as good as them and hope to win through to the next round."

Objective this season for the former Rangers youth player is to play as many first team matches as he can. So far he has played the full 90 minutes in all three competitive matches and if his future was based on fans' opinions that could mean he will get a lot of experience this season but although he is aware of the positive comments he pays little attention to this:-

"I don't want to fill my head up with that. It is nice to hear and hopefully I can continue it. John Potter is always at me to not get carried away with myself being in the first team. I still have to do all the jobs."
