New Access System & Parking at Leys Park Grove
Friday, 11th Aug 2017Match Day Statement – New Access System & Parking at Leys Park Grove ahead of tomorrow`s first home match of the new season.
NEW ACCESS SYSTEM
DAFC continue to try and improve the match day experience at East End Park, and we have made significant investment during the Summer in a new turnstile entry system ahead of the new SPFL Championship season. This Saturday (for the home match against Inverness Caley Thistle) will be the first match the new self-scan system will be in place. Upon arrival at the turnstiles you are required to scan your season ticket or paper ticket on the new digital screen readers. Our stewarding partners, G4s will be on hand to provide supporters with assistance if required. With any new system there is likely to be teething problems, so your patience and cooperation would be much appreciated.
We expect Saturday to be very busy for our opening home match of the season. Therefore, could we urge supporters to please arrive early to avoid frustration if there any larger than normal queues or any delays in gaining access to the Stadium.
PARKING AT LEYS PARK GROVE
In addition, we could we take this opportunity to kindly ask supporters to refrain from using the private residents car park at Leys Park Grove , which are the apartments immediately behind East End Park, accessed from Leys Park Road. This is causing the residents a lot of grief and a number have been verbally abused. There is a sign at the entrance to the development which clearly states “No Football Parking”. Instead, could we please ask supporters to use the public car park as you enter Leys Park Road or our club’s own car park behind the North Stand. Also the residents would appreciate it if supporters would not climb through their fencing or walk through their landscaped shrub areas. These areas are privately maintained and naturally the residents want to avoid any damage being caused.
As always, your cooperation and support is greatly appreciated. we hope you enjoy the game and your match day at East End Park.
