Joe Cardle gave an honest resume of his view of the Queen of the South game:-
"It was a funny game. We thought we were the better team in the first half and played some good football. We thought we were in front but went 1-0 down. We got the goal back and then I went up the pitch - everyone thought it was a penalty, a blatant penalty in my eyes but the referee has not given it. I was already on a yellow card, so if it was a dive he would have had to given me a yellow card. He didn't.
"I played a one two off Baynee up front and took it round the boy. I was one on one with the keeper when the boy just took me out. I am just gutted to be honest, not to get the penalty.
"I have just spoken to the cameraman there and he says that it is a blatant penalty after looking at all the angles. We are gutted and all the boys in there have said that it has got to be a penalty but they went up the pitch and scored a second. It just changed the whole outlook of the game.
"We were on a downer from there on in. They got another two goals before half time that really killed us. We are not getting the rub of the green at the moment but we just have to pick ourselves up.
"Even though we have lost the last four games and only got six points in the league we can't get ourselves down. We have to pick it up and win our next game. That's what we have been saying for the last couple of weeks."
