Adam Hammill has signed for Dunfermline Athletic on loan until the end of the 2006-07 season. A scouser Adam has 5 England U19 caps and scored against Switzerland back in November. He is a left winger and playmaker; a big player for their reserves and is coming north for experience. He will be 19 on 25th January and was a member of the Liverpool squad that successfully won the FA Youth Cup in 2005-06. In one of the earlier rounds he scored a sensational goal at Anfield from the halfway line. He moved up from the Academy to be full time in February 2006.
Dunfermline Manager Stephen Kenny has watched Adam play in the Liverpool Reserves and commented:-
"We have signed two wingers; Jim O'Brien, Bobby Ryan and are in the process of signing Adam Hammill to give us the cutting edge in wide areas that we need.
"I will continue working on things until we get it. Our strikers haven't been scoring goals this season but I haven't lost any faith in their ability and believe they will come good, especially if we can get the supply to them.
"Adam is very highly rated by Liverpool. They see him as having a big future at their club and they offered him a new deal recently to keep him there for the long haul.
"He is coming here for experience but the move can certainly benefit us. He is the sort of player who will have the fans talking and I hope he can come here and make a difference to help us get the results that we need.
"Adam is fit and ready to go, so he could well find himself involved in the squad for the Rangers game and that will be a boost to the team."
