Fans’ favourite, Faissal El Bakhtaoui was crowned the Alastair Eglington Player of the Year on Saturday night at the Elizabethan Pars Supporters Club 2015/2016 Player of the Year.
The sold-out evening hosted by Capital FM’s, Steven Mill was held at Carnegie Conference Centre with 250 people in attendance. Attendees included members of the current playing squad, and some club legends including John Salton, Ian Westwater, John Watson and Roy Barry.
Mikey Mlotkiewicz from the Supporters Club said: "This was easily our biggest and best Player of the Year yet and we’d like to thank everyone for coming along this year and backing the Supporters Club throughout the season. We are now sitting at 402 members and have plans to improve the supporters club even further next season. I’d like to thank our host on the night, Steven Mill and also guest speaker, Tam Cowan, who was great entertainment.”
Ross McArthur said: “It was a fantastic night and on behalf of myself and the Dunfermline Athletic board, we’d like to thank the Elizabethan Pars Supporters Club for there support throughout the season.”
Shaun Rooney was crowned the ‘John Coupland Young Player of the Year’ and Faissal El Bakhtaoui won the ‘Golden Boot’ award for his 30 goals so far this season in all competitions.
