Club Statement - DAFC v Hamilton
Tuesday, 28th Feb 2017DAFC has been informed that Police Scotland have charged three men aged 16 from the Hamilton area with culpable and reckless conduct.
The incident occurred at the Scottish Cup tie between Dunfermline Athletic and Hamilton Academical on Saturday 11th February where a number of smoke devices were set off in the East stand of the ground.
Thankfully nobody was injured during this incident. A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Dunfermline Athletic must adhere stringently to the SPFL’s Unacceptable Policy rules. Any person engaging in Unacceptable Conduct may be subject to any, or a combination of, the following:
· Removal from the stadium.
· Suspension from attending official matches involving the club.
· Indefinite ban from attending official matches involving the club. and
· A report to the police and possible criminal proceedings.
Dunfermline Athletic F.C accepts its responsibility under these rules and simply will not tolerate any form of Unacceptable Conduct at matches, and hope the action of the Police will act as a deterrent to anyone else carrying such devices into East End Park or any other football stadium.
