Captain says Thistle are beatable

Jordan McMillan says "We do need fans there to support us.

Jordan McMillan claimed that fans staying away from East End Park would not help them any:-

"We are relying on gate receipts I'm surmising, to pay us. If they choose not to come because they think how the Club is being run is not right that is entirely up to themselves but we do need fans there to support us. In the last couple of games they have been really good with us. Even in the last game against Morton they were very supportive despite us losing 4-1. They have been bang on with us that way.

"There are not really any sides to take, we are not in the wrong in any way. We come to training, we come to our games and try our hardest to win every week. At the start of the season when we were getting our wages we were flying high.

"We come to our work, going from one month to the next not knowing when we are getting our wages. It is not easy for us. People have different opinions but we don't know the answer.

"We pay into the union for them to help you in times like this. Jack Ross and Fraser Wishart were great; they help with any walk of life. Thommo was in trouble and they helped him.

"We were told that it would be okay after Christmas so we did give it those couple of months. It is nearing the end of the season and boys, me included, are out of contract at the end of the season. The PFA know all the answers so we have put it to them to answer them. We are waiting to here from them."

JORDAN McMILLAN

Remembering that there was a match to play against Partick Thistle on Saturday Jordan said

"We are a good bunch of boys here, the gaffer has been good with us and we are just trying to get on with it. Partick are beatable, we did that in the cup game when we came off the back of a battering on a day that Jackie McNamara described as the best they had played this season.

"We beat them then in the cup. Obviously they got a man sent off but I thought on the game performance we were the better team and deserved the victory. Us and Morton are the only teams to beat them at Firhill this season.

"They are definitely beatable but everybody in this league is beatable. We go into every game believing that we can beat everybody because we know we can and we have done it.

"The situation now is getting on top of us. I am not making that an excuse by any means for our results but it is not easy. Things get on top of you."

Jordan felt that the SFL, the governing body has to investigate the predicament of clubs in Scotland:-

"We don't know how bad the mess is, but it is obviously not that great if we cannot get our wages on time for five months in a row. They have to look at doing something to help the game. If they don't you are going to have players not having clubs and clubs not surviving."
