A grand eight for PoppyScotland
Saturday, 15th Nov 2014"The recent poppyshirt auction proved to be an outstanding success, where the fabulous sum of £8300 was raised for Poppyscotland.
The Pars Supporters Trust purchased two of the iconic shirts as part of the auction process, and it was agreed that these two shirts would be put up for raffle. This allows every fan to have the opportunity to become the proud owner of an original poppy embroidered "Lest We Forget" Dunfermline Athletic home shirt for a £1 per ticket stake.
Furthermore the board of DAFC have enhanced the prize on offer with hospitality at a home game of the winners choice for this season.
Raffle tickets will be on sale at Saturdays home match v Stirling Albion, and prior to the following home league match v Ayr United on December 6th. The two lucky winning tickets will be drawn at half time during the Ayr United match.
Any supporter who is unable to attend the above matches, or are perhaps living out with the local area, can purchase tickets by emailing
kenny.mclachlan7@googlemail.com
Kenny will then provide instructions on how to purchase tickets via PayPal (minimum purchase of £5), and advise the purchaser of their ticket stub numbers once payment is made.
On match day, raffle tickets can be purchased in all of the hospitality suites at East End Park, outside the home ticket kiosk at the SW corner, at the Pars Supporters Trust desk near the club shop and inside the concourse of the Norrie McCathie stand.
All proceeds will go to The Pars Supporters Trust.
The club was recently informed of the tragic death of Pars fan, Mr Brian Quinn who himself had purchased one of the poppy shirts in the auction.
The board of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, on behalf all Pars supporters, would like to offer their sincere condolences to the family of the Mr Quinn.
Mr Quinn's family have requested that Brian is cremated wearing his DAFC poppy shirt, which he had been proud to have purchased.
